Welcome to the Hinode Europe website!

The aim of this site is to promote the exploitation of Hinode observations by European solar physicists, in order to maximize the scientific return of the mission.

Since the launch of the satellite in september 2006, the Hinode team has been busy with the planning of observations, daily operation of the satellite, and preparation of calibration and analysis software. One consequence of this work overload is that little information has been posted on the web.

Hinode Europe is designed to help the Hinode team communicate more effectively with the solar physics community. In addition, this site offers:

1. Information on new observing capabilities and calibration software updates
2. Software for the inversion of Hinode/SP measurements
3. Information on Solar Physics groups and solar telescopes in Europe
4. Information on opportunities for collaboration with Hinode and coordinated observations with the solar telescopes of the European Northern Observatory
5. A list of Hinode related publications by European solar physicists
